Governor Mark Dayton says he was pleased and pleasantly surprised at the Supreme Court's decision to fully uphold the Affordable Care Act.
In Winona Thursday to attend a roundtable discussion at Winona State University when the decision came down, Dayton said he was also pleased that his decision to shift some 84-thousand Minnesotans on to Medicaid will stand.
Dayton also predicted the decision will help lower the cost of healthcare in the state.
Dayton said the ruling signifies real progress and important protection for citizens across Minnesota, including affordable insurance for small businesses, allowing young people to stay on their parents insurance until age 26, and guaranteed coverage for those with pre-existing conditions.....
