Highway 43 Turn Lane Project

Construction crews will begin work on a Highway 43 turn lane project on Monday just south of the highway's intersection with Homer Road.

City Engineer Brian DeFrang says the project will involve the West Burns Valley access to the Glen Echo area and is a project that residents in the area have been requesting.  Vehicles will need to slow down for workers in the construction zone.  The project will continue through August.

DeFrang says that while the city has designed and will inspect the just over $400,000 project it will be paid for by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.  DeFrang says the project is not tied into the roundabout construction project that is underway at the Homer Road intersection with County Road 17...it's a separate project.
