Marcil Assaults TV

Police said a 39-year-old Winona man was arrested after he allegedly used a knife to stab a television.

Police Chief Paul Bostrack said officers were called to a residence on High Forest Street about 9:00 a.m. Saturday where a 36 year old female reported the incident.  The female, according to Bostrack, said she and Jamison Jack Marcil had been involved in a disagreement when Marcil allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed a large-screen television. He then left the scene.

Bostrack said Marcil was arrested after he was located at an east end bar later Saturday...and was charged with felony domestic assault causing fear and damage to property.  Marcil was held in custody over the weekend. The woman was not injured.  Bostrack said the television was valued at $840.

Also charged with felony domestic assault causing fear, in an unrelated incident, was 39-year-old Dale Curtis Marks of Minnesota City. Marks is alleged to have punched a Minnesota City female in the stomach Sunday afternoon.  The female was not seriously injured.  Marks is also facing charges of interfering with a 911 call and disorderly conduct.
