Highway 44 Project
A $7.5 million highway reconstruction project in Houston County gets underway next Monday, July 9th, and motorists can expect some traffic delays until the work is completed.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 44 between Caledonia and Hokah will be resurfaced with the work expected to extend through September, weather permitting.
Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project which also includes constructing center turn lanes in Caledonia. During that portion of the project traffic will be routed on to one lane and also on to the shoulder of the road. Mathy Construction is the prime contractor.
