Winona County Board members want more information before they consider a request from the county's recycling contractor for a $150,000 yearly increase in the firm's 5 year contract.
Veolia Environmental Services is making the request after just six months saying it has run into additional expenses from some unanticipated issues in the countywide curbside recycling program. The additional funds would bring the yearly payment to Veolia up to about $880,000.
Board member Marcia Ward questioned the request saying the company is not fulfilling the current contract as it is.
