Century Farms



Four Winona County farms will be recognized as Century Farms during the Winona County Fair next week.
                   
The farms will be recognized during a special ceremony at the Fair Grounds Entertainment Tent in St. Charles on Thursday, July 12th, at 2:00 p.m.
                   
A fifth farm will be recognized as a Sesquicentennial farm for its 150 years in operation.
                  
The ceremony is open to the public.

Recognized as Century Farms will be: The Walch-Frisch 410-acre farm in Mount Vernon Township which has been operating since 1867...the Yvonne Gensmer 268-acre farm located in Norton Township...The Dennis and Nancy Luehmann 196 acre-farm which began operations in 1962...and the Bruce and Katherine Schott 160-acre farm in Utica Township that began operations in 1908.

Being recognized as a Sessquicentennial farm is the 160-acre farm of Ken Ken Lindeman near Altura........
