Wabasha Injury Crash



The Minnesota State Patrol says two people were injured in a three vehicle crash on Highway 61.
                     
The patrol says the crash was reported Tuesday afternoon about 3:30 and occurred when a vehicle traveling southbound stopped to make a right-hand turn.  Another vehicle, also southbound, was stopped behind the first vehicle when the second vehicle was rearended by a third vehicle causing a chain reaction crash.
                    
The driver of the second vehicle was injured and identified as David Sontag of Lake City, and a passenger in his vehicle, identified as Lucy Sontag, also of Lake City was also injured. They were taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha.
                    
The driver of the first vehicle, Gary Madison and his passenger, Nancy Madison, both of Lake City, were not injured.  The driver of the third vehicle was identified as Richard Stroot of Grapevine, Texas. He was also not injured.
