The Winona Buddies VFW baseball team easily swept a doubleheader against Faribault on Sunday. The Buddies cruised in game one 14-3 and then took the second game 8-2. Patrick McNally threw five innings to get the win in game one. Drew Fakler, Drew Thompson and Chris Hansen all had two hits and 2 RBIs in the first game.

Matt Masyga got the win in the second game after throwing five innings. Thompson had two hits again in the second game while Zach Hefel and Josh Forst each drove in two.

The Buddies are 14-4 overall and they are in first place in the First District with an 8-1 record.
