The Winona Buddies picked up an unusual come from behind win yesterday in First District action. Winona and Cannon Falls resumed a game that had been suspended from earlier in the year because of rain. The two teams picked up the game yesterday in the top of the fifth inning with Cannon Falls leading 4-1. The Buddies quickly struck in the bottom of the fifth inning and scored five runs to take a 6-4 lead. They would added two more in the sixth and go on to win 8-4.
Garrett Block threw three scoreless innings yesterday to get the win while Matt Clark had two hits and drove in three. The Buddies are 15-3 overall and 9-1 in the First District and today they host second place Rochester at 5:00 at Cotter Fields.
