Another theft report involving copper is being investigated by the Winona County Sheriff's Department.
Investigator Rob Averbeck said a resident south of Ridgeway along County Road 11, reported the theft of 120 feet of copper cable from a lightning rod. The report was received on Thursday. No value was given.
The report follows a police investigation into the theft of some expensive copper from the new dormitory being constructed on the St. Mary's University campus. A local firm reported that copper piping was taken valued at over $2500.
