Four Winona County farms were recognized as Century Farms during the Winona County Fair Thursday.
A fifth farm was recognizeded as a Sesquicentennial farm.
Recognized as Century Farms were: the Walch-Frisch 410-acre farm in Mount Vernon Township which has been
operating since 1867...the Yvonne Gensmer 268-acre farm located in Norton Township...the Dennis and Nancy Luehmann 196 acre-farm which began operations in 1862...and the Bruce and Katherine Schott 160-acre farm in Utica Township that began operations in 1908.
Recognized as a Sessquicentennial farm was the 160-acre farm of Ken Lindeman near Altura.
