Chase Arrests
The Buffalo County Sheriff's Department says three people were apprehended Monday following a chase that started in the Indian Creek area of Milton Township and ended when their vehicle rolled over.
Authorities said a deputy was investigating a report of some suspicious activity when he saw three people running from a cabin and get into a car.
The deputy started a pursuit on Highway 35 but called it off at the entrance to the City of Alma.
Neighboring agencies were notified and the vehicle was spotted again on Highway 37 but attempts to stop it also failed.
The vehicle was later located by a motorist who witnessed it lose control along Highway 37 north of Alma and roll over.
The vehicle's occupants were identified as 55-year-old Donna Book and 23-year-old Emily Book, both of Polo, Illinois, One of them was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries. the other was not injured.
The driver, whose name was unknown, and who was also believed to be from Illinois, was also taken to a hospital..
