A 24 year old Winona man was jailed Friday after he was charged with felony fifth degree assault causing harm on a Winona woman.
                  
Police Sargent Jay Rasmussen said officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of East Belleview Friday afternoon where a woman reported she was allegedly assaulted by Lance Robert Schewe.
                
A police report indicated Schewe allegedly grabbed the 24-year-old woman by the hair and swung her around. He is also alleged to have punched her in the head five or six times.
                
The victim was taken to Winona Health to be treated for her injuries which included bruises on her arm, forehead and one eye
