Gumby Recovering

Gumby the kitten continues to recover at the Winona Area Humane Society and now the Winona Police Department has gotten into the investigation about who injured the seven to nine week old female.  The kitten was found in the 1200 block of west Howard Street last Saturday by a resident. The black and white female had glue on her paws and one foot was glued to her back.

An on-call veterinarian was able to free the cat's leg up and remove most of the glue from its paws but Gumby, as she was named by Human Society volunteers, remained at the society while she begins to heal from her injuries.

The police department is now seeking the public's help in locating anyone with information how the cat was injured.

If you have any information you are asked to call Winona Animal Control at 457-694, the Police Department at 457-6295, or the Winona Area Humane Society at 452-3135.  You can also call Winona Area Crime Stoppers at 457-6530 where you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
