Houston County motorists are being advised that Highway 76 near Houston will be closed down beginning Monday, August 6th, as crews begin a bridge replacement project over the south fork of the Root River.
              
A detour will be in place while the historic bridge railings will be rebuilt to be safer, while still maintaining their historic property.  Minnowa Construction is the prime contractor for the $1.3 million  project that is expected to be completed by mid-October, weather permitting.
