The Fountain City Police Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a Fountain City residence on Thursday.
                   
Police officer Jason Mork issued a press release saying the body was discovered about 2:50 p.m.  No other details were released and Mork said the name of the adult male  will be released once next of kin are notified.
                   
Police received assistance from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department and Fountain City First Responders.  Mork said the public was not in danger at any time.  The body removed from the residence and transported for an autopsy.
