Parry-Congress

Mike Parry, who hopes to square off against First District Democratic Congressman Tim Walz in November, made a stop in Winona Monday.

The Republican state senator from Waseca is campaigning before the August 14th primary when he goes up against fellow Republican Alan Quist.

Parry tells Winona Radio News that Quist's former comments that are out of the mainstream would be an easy target for Walz in the general election.

Parry says the Farm Bill, currently being held up in Congress, needs to be passed now, not after the November elections.

Parry says the district needs someone in Washington looking out for the best interests of it's constituents, something he says Walz is not doing effectively.
