Winona LeJetz Win First Round Game At State Tournament

The Winona LeJetz came back to beat Fergus Falls 5-4 in ten innings in first round of the Minnesota American Legion Division 1 State baseball tournament this morning. The LeJetz trailed 4-1 in the sixth inning when the LeJetz scored a pair of runs on two sacrifice flies. Roger Brosnahan hit his second sacrifice fly of the game in the eighth inning to tie it up before the LeJetz scored a run in the bottom of the tenth to win.
The LeJetz will now play either Burnsville or Eden Prairie at 7:00 tonight. Eden Prairie won the National American Legion World Series last year.
