Joseph Mlinar has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Alma School Board.,

Mlinar of the town of Montana and Justin Hoffer of Nelson applied for the appointment. The school board reviewed their applications last week.

Applications included responses to a series of questions having to do with experience, education issues and district long-range goals, visions and challenges.

School board members scored applications on a point system.

Mlinar replaced Mike Abts, who resigned in April. The appointment runs for the remainder of the 3rd year of a term that expires in April.
