The college sports season will be starting up this month and graduating seniors from Winona High and Cotter will be reporting to their first collegiate seasons. Cotter has eight seniors moving on to collegiate athletics while the only Winona High senior moving on is Skylar Marks, who will play baseball at Northern State.

Cotter’s Micaela Trainor and Emma Beach will both be playing softball in college. Trainor is attending Division III powerhouse St. Thomas while Beach will play at RCTC. Gus Cochran is headed to Loras College to play basketball while Daniel Karnick will play baseball at the University of Dubuque. Liam Michner and Monica Weltzien will play soccer, Michner at Carrol College and Weltzien at UW-Eau Claire. David Holien is attending Carrol and he’ll play football while McKenzie Brosnahan will participate in swimming at Emory University.
