Burglary
The Winona County Sheriff's Department is investigating a burglary where nearly nine thousand dollars in items were reported missing from a Nodine residence.
Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said the owner of the residence reported on Monday that the items were discovered missing after a vehicle that had been reported stolen from the residence on July 24th, was located in La Crosse and returned to the owner.
Ganrude said the items include two women's diamond rings, about one thousand dollars in coins, a jewelry box with items valued at about eight hundred dollars, a men's ring, other jewelry, ten bottles of perfume and a laptop computer.
The items were valued at a total of about $8,750. Ganrude said the owner discovered the items missing on the day the vehicle was recovered but chose to wait a few days to report it to the sheriff's department.
