Planning Commission

The Winona City Planning Commission will continue its discussions Monday on frac sand mining issues.

The commission has been studying a variety of issues during the one-year moratorium on sand mining operations that began last spring.  The commissioners will address environmental review issues and miscellaneous water issues.

Also on the agenda is a public hearing on a request from Peter Zehren to have about 12 acres of land at 702 Mankato Avenue rezoned from family residential to general business.  The meeting is open to the public and starts at 4:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
