The Chairman of the Republican Party of Minnesota says Mitt Romney's selection of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate demonstrates Romney's commitment to the kind of solutions that will restore prosperity and preserve freedom in our country.
                  
Former Winonan Pat Shortridge said in a statement that Romney clearly realizes that getting to 270 electoral votes isn't and end in itself. He knows big changes will have to be made.  Shortridge calls Ryan an honest, straightforward leader who is looking to solve problems.
                 
Shortridge also calls Ryan a proven vote getter, having won a Demoncrat leaning Congressional district by significant margins.  Shortridge also called Ryan a friend he has known for two decades.
