A Twin Cities Think Tank has chosen Lewiston to release its report Tuesday on the financial burden some small cities in the state face in replacing aging infrastructure.
Minnesota 2020 will release the findings of its study at the Lewiston Wastewater Facility south of Lewiston Tuesday morning.
The report was prepared by Minnesota 2020's graduate fellow Jeremy Dennison.
It says Minnesota's wastewater infrastructure is nearing the end of its lifespan with a third of the systems older that 50. In addition to Lewiston replacing its facility, the report will highlight several other projects in the works in southeastern Minnesota.
