The Minnesota Department on Transportation is convening a meeting of its Winona Bridge Project Advisory Committee next month.  The group has not met since 2011.  The department has told committee members to expect a 'substantial update' on the bridge project.

The Project Advisory Committee meets September 10 at Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical.

Just last week a proposal for a second two lane bridge parallel to a rehabilitated existing bridge was given passing grades by the Minnesota Historic Preservation Office.  Three other proposals involving only the existing bridge are also in the mix.
