A silent auction held by the Winona County Sheriff's Department brought in over $6,000.
Seven different vehicles were placed up for sealed bids during the auction that ended August 16th. Four vehicles were forfeited by residents who were charged with driving while intoxicated.
Seventy percent of the DWI forfeiture money went to the Sheriff's department with the remaining 30% going to the County Attorney's Office.
Other items placed on the auction included a snowmobile and a 16 foot flat bottom boat and motor used by the County's Dive Rescue Team which brought in $1500. A total of $6,170 was raised.
