The Winona City Council will hold a pair of budget review sessions next week.
               
Councilmembers will review the proposed 2013 individual departmental budgets starting at 5:00 p.m. Monday at City Hall. A second session will start at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
                
Department heads get a chance to present their proposed budgets and councilmembers get a chance to ask questions and even make changes to those budgets.  Both sessions are open to the public.
                
The council needs to set the city's preliminary 2013 property tax levy by September 15th.  After that, the levy can be reduced but not raised prior to final certification in December.
