The City of Winona issued 27 building permits last week representing nearly $884,000 in new construction.
                  
A permit was issued to James Gernes for construction of an addition to the apartments previously constructed on West Broadway next to the Dairy Queen.  The new addition, at 1426 West Broadway, will house eight additional apartments, and the project cost is $525,000.
                   
A permit was also issued to John and Kimber Stanislawski for construction of a new single family home at 152 Cobblestone Lane.  The price tag is $270,000.
