A 29 year old Winona man was jailed Monday on preliminary assault charges after police were summoned to a home in the 800 block of West Fifth Street.
              
Police Sargent Chris Nelson said Brett Nordstrom was cited with two fifth degree assault counts and a felony terroristic threats count.  Nelson said Nordstrom allegedly threatened a woman with a knife and pushed her up against a wall.
              
The case was referred to the county attorney's office to determine formal charges against Nordstrom.  The call was received at 12:04 a.m. Monday.
