Rural township officials and residents are invited to a special workshop in Rushford Thursday where the topic of industrial-scale sand mining will be discussed.
                
The workshop is being sponsored by the Land Stewardship Project and will take place at 5:00 p.m. at Rushford's St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Presenters will be on hand to talk about using township planning and zoning to control sand mining. The presenters will be some of the state's leading experts on township rights.

A similar workshop was held last week in Frontenac.

The cost of Thursday's workshop is ten dollars, payable at the door.
