The resignation of a Buffalo County Board supervisor has left the board with two positions to fill. David Ernst of rural Fountain City announced he was leaving the board after 12 years to spend more time with his family.
Ernst was the board's vice chairman for six years, held leadership posts, and also headed up the board's personnel committee after he was re-elected last April. He represented th towns of Cross and Milton before redistricting combined Milton and Waumandee and placed Cross and Milton together as District 14.
Ernst's departure now leaves the14 member county board with a pair of vacancies.
