Next month the public will get an opportunity to see what Winona County plans to do with the former county landfill site located along Highway 43 south of Sugar Loaf.
                  
An open house will be held at what  will be established as Stone Point Park. The event takes place on Saturday, October 13th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
                  
Commissioner Jim Pomeroy called the new park a good idea and something county residents will be able to make use of.  A public input meeting on the park's proposed master plan will be held on Monday, October 15th  at the Winona County History Center.
