WAPS-Tests

A pair of Winona schools scored well in the recently released  new state standardized test scores for District 861.

Curriculum Director Jenny Bushman says Jefferson Elementary School received an 85-percent "Multiple Measurement Rating" (MMR) and Jefferson and W-K Elementary  were among the 128 schools statewide recognized as reward institutions.

Bushman says those two schools have been sticking to a new improvement plan and the other schools in the
district have started implementing them as well.

Bushman says test scores were used from the 2010-2011 school year, and improvement measured over scores from the previoius year.
