Law enforcement agencies from across southeastern Minnesota, including Winona police, are looking for two people they believe have been involved in a series of gas drive-offs at service stations over the last four and a half months.
Winona Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams identified the two suspects as 36-year-old Erin Margaret Beirne, believed to be from St. Peter, and 34-year-old Aaron Patrick Dvorak of Lewiston. Williams said the two are suspected of committing gas drive-offs since late April in a number of towns including Winona, Rochester, Mankato, Owatonna, and Zumbrota.
Williams said so far the drive-offs have totaled about $1,100. A criminal case in Winona County has been referred to the county attorney's office with a police recommendation to charge each the two with felony theft and aiding and abetting felony theft.
If you have any information that could help authorities find the two you are asked to call Winona Area Crime Stoppers at 457-6530. There you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
