The Minnesota Equestrian Center, located south of Garvin Heights, will host a big statewide horse show October 5th through the 7th. The Minnesota Saddlebred Horse Association will hold its 2012 Minnesota Futurity Horse Show at the center which will be free and open to the public.
The association's Futurity Program encourages the breeding of outstanding offspring...referred to as the winners of the future and the future stars of he show ring. Young horses including yearlings and 2-year-olds will compete with their peers for ribbons, trophies, and prize money.
The show offers a full range of Saddlebred and Hackney pony classes and will showcase the riding and driving talents of youth and adult exhibitors. A number of activities will also be held for the participants including a pizza party and an exhibitor breakfast.
