Eagle Center
The National Eagle Center in Wabasha will be celebrating its fifth anniversary at its permanent location the weekend of September 29th and 30th.
Spokesperson, Irene Hanson, says the center has had a half a million visitors since it opened its new quarters and people have come from all over to see the five eagles who live there.
Hanson says the weekend will be filled with activities and programs, some of them outside.
Hanson says the center will also be celebrating the recovery of the eagles since they were removed from the endangered species list five year ago.
She says there are over 23-hundred nesting pairs in Minnesota.
