The Annual Winona Hiawatha Valley Marines' "Toys for Tots" drive is underway.  The drive is focused on providing needy children in the Winona area with a Christmas gift.
                   
In 2011, the effort resulted in 342 families and 1016 children receiving assistance.  Over 50 drop barrels will be located throughout the Winona area for toy donations. The drive also received cash contributions from over 50 individuals and businesses last year.
                  
You can send a cash donation to the Winona Community Foundation at 51 East 4th Street in Winona. The Foundation is handling the Hiawatha Valley Marines financial matters.  A toy distribution will take place in December just before Christmas.
