Kronebusch--Threats

Winona Police said a 36 year old Winona man was held in custody over the weekend after he allegedly threatened and assaulted a woman.

Police Sargent Chris Nelson said Michael David Kronebusch was cited with preliminary charges of terroristic threats, two felony assaults, and possession with a dangerous weapon.  Nelson said Kronebusch allegedly threatened the 25 year old woman with a loaded 44 magnum handgun placing the barrel in her mouth and cocking it as he held her down.

She was able to escape the residence and flee on foot. She managed to call 911 on a cellphone after she saw Kronebusch exit the residence with the gun in his hand.  Nelson said police also recovered two other handguns from the residence.  The incident was reported at 12:42 a.m. on Saturday.
