Winona County officials says they believe a fire that destroyed an old summer cottage in Dakota was intentionally set.
Sheriff Dave Brand said a witness notified authorities on Tuesday about 7:00 p.m. that the former cottage was on fire. Dakota firefighters respnded and discovered two fires in the cellar.
Brand said firefighters believe an accellerant was used to start the fires. The cottage was totally destroyed. Brand said there was no electricity in the building at the time.
