The two candidates seeking the First Congressional District seat in Washington took part in a lively, spirited and fast-paced 90-minute debate Thursday in Byron.
               
Democratic incumbent Tim Walz and Republican challenger Alan Quist addressed a wide variety of issues in the forum co-sponsored by the Rochester Chamber of Commerce and aired online at KTTC.com.

Walz said he wants to return to Congress so he can help keep the nation moving in the right direction...forward.

Quist countered saying the nation is at risk and he wants to help change that so everyone can live he American Dream.

The two will be taking part in two other debates in the weeks leading up to the November 6th general election.
