The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department is giving the public a chance to get rid of unwanted and unneeded prescription drugs Saturday.
                
The public is invited to drop off dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs between 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m at the Sheriff's office in Whitehall.  The drop-off will be free, anonymous, and no questions asked.
                
Authorities say dropping off the drugs keeps them out of the hands of other people and is much better than flushing them or placing them in the trash.
