City Commissions

Mayor Jerry Miller says he welcomes people who want to serve on the city's boards and commissions.

The city currently has 19 different boards and commissions...some of which meet sporadicly.  He told a Winona Radio audience it's tough filling some of the boards and commissions and the more people that are willing to get involved the better.

Many of the boards and committee are advisory and some meet very seldom. They range from the city council, port authority, and planning commission which usually meet twice a month, to groups like the architectural review board, the board of gas examiners, and the building and fire code board which meet far less often.  Some of the groups meet on an as needed basis.
