Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie last week talked to a crowd in Caledonia about the importance of voting during the 51st annual Houston County Township Association.
The meeting was attended by several county officials, as well as candidates for office in the upcoming election. Ritchie was the evening’s keynote speaker.
The secretary focused his program on the need to vote, explaining that Minnesota has the highest voter turnout in the nation.
According to the Houston County News, Ritchie wants voters to stay abreast of changes in elections practices. Ritchie said that voting in rural townships, especially like those Houston County, was of particular importance.
