Trempealeau County Attorney

Trempealeau county will have a new permanent district attorney after the November election.  District Attorney Geri Marsolek officially resigned her position last week.

The Trempealeau County News reports Marsolek has been on medical leave since June 4th. Her resignation is for medical reasons.

Trempealeau County Circuit Judge John Damon earlier appointed Taavi McMahon special prosecutor to serve in Marsolek's place. McMahon's is the only name appearing on the November 6th ballot.  Marsolek served in the position since 2004.
