The Winona County Board of Commissioners may take a look at reducing the 2013 property tax levy before final approval of the budget is required in December.
Commissioner Jim Pomeroy told the board today (Tuesday) he reviewed the proposed budget and sees room for a possible 2-percent reduction in the property tax levy.
Last month the board approved a zero percent increase in the 2013 tax levy.
The board will hold a budget hearing tentatively on November 27th with final certification on December 11th.
The board cannot raise the levy between now and then, but can reduce.....
