Winona High Student Charged



Winona Police said a 14 year old girl Winona High School student is facing 5th degree assault charges in connection with an incident at the high school that took place on September 28th.
                    
Deputy police chief Tom Williams said the student is alleged to have attacked a second female 16 year old student.  Williams said the incident was filmed on a cellphone and then posted on  the internet.
                    
He said the 16 year old was not seriously injured.  Williams said the 14 year old told authorities the 16 year old had been spreading rumors about the 14 year old around school.
