The Minnesota State Patrol said two people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Winona County that involved a deer.
Authorities said a vehicle driven by Robin Simon of Elba was northbound on Highway 74 near County Road 39 when it struck the deer. The impact threw the deer into the second vehicle driven southbound on Highway 74 by Cassie Sass of St. Charles.
Sass was injured along with a passenger in one of the vehicles identified as 2-year-old Lexi Burt. Three others involved in the crash were not injured.
Sass and Burt were both taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester to be treated for their injuries. The crash was reported at 7:16 p.m.
