The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a former teacher at Fairbault Shattuck-St. Mary's School is facing 17 criminal charges.
                 
The BCA says 70-year-old Lynn Phillip Seibel is charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a former student between 2001 and 2003.

The charges include 12 counts of criminal sexual conduct involving students at the school plus possession of child pornography, and use of a child in pornography,

A press release says the BCA identified and interviewed four former students who provided similar details about incidents they were involved in.

Seibel remains in a Los Angeles, California jail on charges unrelated to the Faribault investigation.
   
Several different agencies from across the country participated in the investigation.

The investigation was opened in June 2012 when an individual reported to an Olmsted Community Corrections employee that he had been assaulted by Seibel while a student at Shattuck in 2001.....
