Authority member and County Commissioner, Wayne Valentine announced that a $200,000 loan was approved for Mississippi Welders Supply in Goodview to assist with the firm's $2 million expansion project.
In addition, Valentine said, $a 75,000 loan was awarded for a dairy operation near Hart. A second $75,000 loan was awarded to a St. Charles business to purchase a building and equipment for an expansion project. Valentine said a $50,000 request from a Winona business was turned down because the business did not meet EDA loan guidelines.
The money come from the EDA's revolving loan fund. Valentine said all three businesses receiving the loans will be adding new jobs.
