An apparent brush fire that burned out of control Monday afternoon spread to bluff lands off Waumandee Creek Road in the town of Milton.
    
Firefighters from the C-FC area and Arcadia fought the blaze and had it out and under control Monday night.

The fire could be seen from state highways 35 and 88.

Initial reports said bluff land burned on properties owned by at least three landowners.

Buffalo County ordered a countywide burning ban on Oct. 5th due to dry conditions.

The fire Monday was driven by brisk winds. Firefighters fought the blaze from the bottom and top of the bluff and its ravines.
